The Upper Arlington community gathered in full force to celebrate the Heart of UA and honor the Crane Family for their lasting legacy.

The Upper Arlington Community Foundation hosted our annual Heart of UA fundraiser, and what an incredible time it was! The weather was beautiful, the energy was high, and our community showed up in full force to celebrate, connect, and support the work we do year-round.

A special congratulations to this year’s Heart of UA Award recipients: The Crane Family. Their deep commitment to community engagement and service has made a lasting impact on Upper Arlington. Many know their late father, Bob Crane, whose name proudly graces the Bob Crane Community Center—or as we like to call it, simply, “The Bob.” His legacy continues to inspire and shape the heart of UA.

The Heart of UA award recognizes the cumulative philanthropic and volunteer efforts of an individual, family, or family foundation over a period of five (5) or more years of exceptional generosity who, through direct financial support, demonstrates outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and whose generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles in the community. Candidates will specifically demonstrate significant, long-term involvement with one or more Upper Arlington nonprofit organizations. Prior winners of this prestigious award include: Tim and Glenda Huffman (2019), Mary Ann Krauss (2020), Sue Ralph (2022), and the Ness Family: Lynn and Bob, Emily and John (2023), and Kip Greenhill (2024).
