UACF General Unrestricted Fund

Donations to this fund will be used for future grants that impact the quality of life for our residents. A sample of grants awarded from this fund includes the Commission on Aging/Alzheimer’s Association grant for a newly designed balance class for older residents with dementia and their caregivers, Leadership UA 2017 and 2016 class projects, Stay UA funding, UA Historical Society, “Bright Spots” beautification, Safety Town buildings and curriculum support, and many more!

Wellness

Good Neighbor Fund

You may be surprised to know that there are many hardworking families in Upper Arlington who struggle to meet basic needs from time to time due to situations such as illness, loss of employment, or medical bills. This fund enables us to help these families with a one-time grant to help them get on their feet again.

Barney Family Fund

The Barney family created this fund to promote and sustain the quality of life in the city they have lived in for years. This fund has supported the creation of the updated UA History Book in honor of our Centennial. It has also supported the Reading Garden at Northam Park.

Clayton and Ginny Hall Family Fund

This fund was created to support and enhance the quality of life of the residents of Upper Arlington.

Don and Sharon Cook Fund

This fund was created to support efforts in UA that enhance lives.

UA Field Sports Advisory Fund

This fund donates to the Field Improvement Fund to upgrade and improve Upper Arlington sports fields and facilities.

Fitzpatrick Family Fund

This Fund supports youth sports in Upper Arlington through grant making that assists children in need with fees, equipment, and training costs, as well as providing scholarship opportunities and upgrading youth sports facilities. Through this fund, we were able to purchase tackling tubes for UA Youth Football to increase education on player safety and to build player confidence and skill, all while having fun.

George F. Renkert Fund

This fund is designated to support projects that make our community better. To date, this fund has supported the Renkert Garden at Thompson Park, purchased a drunk driving simulator for the Police Department, helped fund the new DARE truck and support the UACA Fourth of July activities.

Krauss Family Fund

This Fund was established for the purpose of supporting programs that foster relationships between Upper Arlington youth and other youth from challenging socio-economic communities. In 2018 and 2019, this fund supported partnerships between elementary and high school students in Upper Arlington and students in other rural and urban schools in Ohio. It allowed UA students to get to know students from different communities and socio-economic backgrounds to demystify differences and help our students to improve their ability to relate with all people.

UA Senior Center Association Fund

One of our greatest values is neighbors helping neighbors, which is why this fund works to support programs and activities for senior UA residents at the UA Senior Center. Pickle balls, games and flowers are some of the ways this fund has helped enhance the experiences of UA residents that visit the Senior Center.

Education

Ann Royce Moore Fund

Authors provide both analytical and literary insight on their work, so this fund aims to bring award winning authors right to UA to share their knowledge with the community.

Veronica Valentino Fund

This fund was created in memory of Veronica "Vera" Valentino to give back to the community where she lived and served.

Beautification

UA Fund for Veterans

Established to provide for the continued maintenance and upkeep of Upper Arlington Veterans Plaza and other opportunities to support and honor veterans and their families in the Upper Arlington community.

UACF Beautification Fund

Upper Arlington deserves to be a beautiful city that reflects the vibrant community within. This fund supports projects that work to enhance the beauty of this city, from Five Points intersection to hanging baskets on Tremont.

Vibrancy

Overmyer Hall Associates Fund

This fund, created by Overmyer Hall Associates, supports community betterment. It was created to fund a variety of causes in our community.

UA Arts Fund

Created to enhance the cultural vibrancy of Upper Arlington, this fund supports and promotes all forms of cultural arts in our city. When Alfred Tibor generously donated many of his sculptures to UA, the UA Arts Fund gave a grant to pay for the installation of these beautiful sculptures enjoyed by our community each day.

Lynn and Bob Ness Fund

Lynn and Bob Ness care deeply about the Upper Arlington community, which is why they started this fund to support projects that better this city.

Play UA Financial Assistance Fund

The UA Recreation Fund was created to help cover class fees for children in our community who are interested in taking a class through the Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation Department including providing pool passes for families in UA.

Greg Comfort Family Fund

Based on love and service for the community, the Greg Comfort Family Fund supports projects that enhance the city of Upper Arlington.

Safety

UA Fire Division Fund

The core mission of the UAFD is to provide fire, EMS, rescue and hazardous materials emergency response to the Upper Arlington community. UAFD also offers multiple non-emergency programs that support its public safety mission. This fund supports the UAFD Project Alive, Engine 1 Restoration, Public Education, Smoke detector, and STAY UA programs.

UA Police Division Fund

The fund supports equipment and programs that help ensure the safety of our community and officers. This fund has supported Safety Town buildings and curriculum as well as DARE programming.

Sallie Davis Bethge Endowed P.E.O. Scholarship Fund

The Sallie Davis Bethge Endowed P.E.O. Scholarship Fund shall award two scholarships annually, recipients include women high school seniors who will be attending college and/or women who are upper class students and/or graduate or professional students. Recipients of the scholarships will be selected by the Scholarship Committee of Chapter BX, (Ohio) P.E.O.

Knell Family Memorial Fund

This fund was created to support the Upper Arlington Community Foundation's Mission.

Knell Family Endowed Basketball Scholarship

This fund was created to award a scholarship to one female UAHS Senior basketball player with a B average.
