Introducing 2026 Heart of UA Honorees

Lisa Ingram and Greg Guy

2026 Heart of UA Honorees

Lisa Ingram and Greg Guy have been extraordinary champions of philanthropy and civic engagement in Upper Arlington and throughout Central Ohio. Their support of community initiatives and nonprofit organizations reflects a genuine commitment to improving lives, expanding opportunity, and investing in the long-term health of our region — and it all started when they were young professionals who simply chose to get involved. Decades later, their impact is both deep and far-reaching. Greg and Lisa's story is a powerful reminder that lasting change begins with a single step, and that the leaders we need tomorrow are already in our community today. We hope their example inspires the next generation to follow in their footsteps.

Dale Hartney Drinking Fountain

Community Dedicates Memorial Fountain Honoring Coach Dale Hartney

On Saturday, August 16 at 2 PM, the community gathered at the Miller Park Library to dedicate a new drinking fountain honoring long-time Upper Arlington resident, teacher, and cross-country coach Dale Hartney.

Thanks to the generosity of many donors, and in partnership with the City of Upper Arlington, the fountain has been installed at Miller Park—Coach Hartney’s favorite turnaround spot during cross-country runs.

This meaningful tribute reflects the deep love and respect Coach Hartney inspired in generations of students, friends, neighbors, and family.

Coach Hartney, who spent nearly 50 years inspiring others—on the court, in the classroom, and during his legendary runs to Miller Park Library—left a lasting impact on the Upper Arlington community. The Foundation is honored to celebrate his legacy with this project.

Grants in Action: Restoring Independence for a 92-Year-Old UA Resident

A small act of support helps a longtime resident maintain independence and enjoy the outdoors once again

The Foundation recently stepped in to help a 92-year-old resident regain safe and independent access to their home by funding the installation of a mobility ramp. Through its Good Neighbor Fund, UACF covered the full cost of the project, allowing the resident to enter and exit their home without assistance comfortably.

This small but meaningful change reflects the Foundation’s commitment to supporting residents facing critical needs, from mobility and safety upgrades to emergency financial support. The ramp not only improves the resident’s quality of life but also reinforces the community’s dedication to helping neighbors age in place with dignity and care. Allowing this resident to remain active and enjoy the outdoors that they always loved is a powerful reminder that even modest investments can make a lasting impact. Thanks to the generosity of UACF donors,
