Military service runs deep in Upper Arlington.  Hundreds of young Upper Arlington men and women fought in World War II as recognized in the old Veterans' Memorial. Today's newly updated and more inclusive memorial, still on the Arlington Mallway, was dedicated on Saturday, May 29th.  Since 2016, Erik Yassenoff and other veterans have been working to develop this new Veterans' Plaza on the Mallway.  Working with the city and with the Upper Arlington Community Foundation the group began raising the funds, $256,000, to complete the project.

It is a moving and beautiful asset to Upper Arlington's history and pride in those citizens who stood up and gave the country their best.  Take a walk through the Plaza for a bit of an education and beautiful amenity for all to enjoy.
